How do we support your professional growth at All Saints Episcopal School?

We are deeply committed to the personal growth of every faculty and staff member. In accordance with this commitment, we have several programs in place to facilitate this growth. Each last friday of the month, students are released at noon and the afternoon is spent on professional development through teachers teaching teachers as well as international speakers coming onto our campus to share their expertise. Every year money is dedicated for teachers to attend conferences. We have established a four year cycle where each faculty and staff member will attend a national, regional and two local conferences during that time frame. We also have a dedicated Fabulous Faculty Fund that is used to award employees who go above and beyond to display excellence. Finally, we offer an annual Teacher Leader Cohort to develop our faculty and staff with personalized leadership opportunities.

What does it mean to be independent?

The ISAS website explains that independent schools…
  • determine their own missions and are mission-driven
  • have a clearly-stated educational philosophy that is academic in nature
  • are committed to high educational standards
  • are governed by a board of trustees
  • comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws
  • practice non-discriminatory policies
  • demonstrate good faith efforts to diversify the student body, faculty, and staff
  • earn and sustain accreditation from state and regional organizations such as Independent Schools Association of the Southwest
  • are supported primarily by tuition, charitable contributions, and endowment income rather than by taxes or church funds
  • are incorporated as 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
  • offer prospective teachers a wide range of geographic and cultural choices
  • are, most importantly, seeking the very best teachers
As an independent school, All Saints Episcopal School is dedicated to providing the best college preparatory education available in East Texas through innovative, engaging, and challenging curriculum that inspires passionate leaders.
