Mr. Cobb's Favorite STEM Toys for 2020

As many of you know I love STEM and activities that make learning FUN!
So, I am often asked around the holidays “What are my favorite toys?” and “what would I recommend for students?” Obviously there are countless ways to inspire powerful learning. Most of my best experiences have happened outdoors or building with cardboard. However, there are some really great toy designers busy creating exciting activities for us all.

This year I decided to put together a short list of 15 toys that I believe check many of the boxes for a great toy: engaging both visually and kinesthetically, skill enhancement, development of physical (gross and fine motor) functions, academic incorporation (math, reading, writing), social and emotional (turn-taking, role-playing) skills, and sparking discovery through exploration and imagination.

I hope you enjoy seeing my list and that you will share your favorites with me as well.
