This picture reminds me of the blessing we enjoy developing faith and learning with our students. As I reflect on my career in various schools, I firmly believe an Episcopal education uniquely prepares children for the challenges of our world and the future.
Episcopal schools emphasize servant leadership and allow students to deepen their relationship with God and others in a Christian environment. We all practice the collaboration needed to be part of a larger society that relies on individual contributions for its betterment. Our global society calls for an increased ability to understand different cultures and differing points of view. We are able to come together in our common beliefs while also wrestling with larger issues to grow as whole and unique individuals. This creates a safe place for children to continuously learn and grow. Each member of an Episcopal school community is called to intellectual integrity and encouraged to pursue questions wherever they may lead. They are challenged to develop critical thinking, value curiosity, and be creative. An Episcopal school pursues understanding through reason to embrace faith and spirituality as essential to exploring the human condition.
