The technology classes in grades 4K-4th are integrated with classroom units of study and emphasis. Classroom skills are reinforced and elaborated on in the lab setting. Students are also taught age appropriate computer skills and keyboarding techniques. Each month, a particular grade level's work is highlighted and displayed in the hallway outside the computer lab. At the end of the display period, each student is given his laminated work to keep. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders work on keyboarding skills with the "Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing" program. A keyboarding program at home for the students to reinforce the skills learned in class would benefit them greatly.
