Welcome to the All Saints Episcopal School website.
We hope that you will find it to be informative and interesting.
All Saints Episcopal School is a true "community" school;
students, faculty, and parents from the East Texas area come here
to learn, play, worship and interact. We are all part of one huge
family. More than once I have heard the comment, "There always
seems to be something exciting happening around here!"
We often refer to the four pillars that represent
the All Saints experience: academics, arts, athletics, in a Christian
environment. First and foremost of these is our academic program.
Students are encouraged to explore various possibilities and to
stretch their minds. This is done by a variety of experiences both
inside and outside the classroom. Programs are designed to accommodate
individual differences. Students receive assistance-sometimes to
accelerate their learning, sometimes with an occasional "boost"
to help them master difficult concepts. Learning is active, not
passive, and our rigorous curriculum prepares students for college
and beyond.
The faculty at All Saints model the precept that learning
is a life-long experience; they mirror the expectations they have
for their students. Teachers teach with great passion - for the
children in their classes and for their subject area. Small class
sizes allow for the formation of closer relationships. Teachers
take the time to "know" their students. As a consequence,
the bonds that are formed are long lasting and play an important
role in establishing patterns for future successes.
As much as there is an emphasis on the All Saints
learning experience, there is an almost equal emphasis on cooperation,
good citizenship, spiritual growth and character development. While
children grow and move from a world of almost total dependency to
one of structured independence, they begin to realize the benefits
of interdependence. Even though instruction is individualized, students
soon recognize that, working together, they are able to accomplish
far more than they could on their own. This gradual reliance on
each other, on the faculty and on their family can be directly linked
to the quality of their character.
"Sow a thought, reap an act;
Sow an act, reap a habit;
Sow a habit, reap a character;
Sow a character...reap a destiny."
This anonymous quote is an apt description of the
All Saints "experience". There is magic in the air in
and around our campus. We develop scholars, while accentuating scholarship.
We develop athletes, while producing team players. We develop artists,
while encouraging creativity. We develop religious study, while
emphasizing spiritual growth. "The first purpose of prayer
is to know God." - Charles L. Allen.
Please take time to browse through the various aspects
of life at All Saints Episcopal School of Tyler, Texas. I promise
you it will be worth it. You will find that there is a sense of
joy about all that we do - it is reflected in the many faces of
our students. They are, after all, what we are about. There is no
greater calling than to care for them and to inspire them to become
better students - but mostly to become better people.
God bless,
