You've gotta have
Art!
Profile
"I love to teach art
because you get to see the amazing creativity that
is in each child. I enjoy the lower school students
because their enthusiasm is boundless. I never have
to work at motivating them because they are raring
to go! That each student will realize that they
are artists and leave my classroom with a beginning
knowledge of art history."

You've gotta have
Music!
Lower
School Music The
mission of the All Saints choral and general music program
is to touch the heart and soul of children, to enable
them to express their knowledge of God and self through
music, and to instill in each child a sense of praise,
wonder, and worship through classroom experiences and
public musical offerings. If
you were to open the doors to room 106 in Vaughn Hall,
what would you find? You would find children working
very hard and learning so much about music, about
God and about themselves. You would hear glorious
music lofting through the hallways. It is music of
the highest quality from the voices of angels - the
children of All Saints Episcopal School. And just
so you know exactly what this organization is all
about, following is a list of the choirs and the music
they enjoy so much. It is truly a blessing and honor
to have the opportunity to teach these fine young
people and to share with them the blessing of fine
music education.
5th Grade Choir:
The 5th grade choir has been working very hard in
preparations for Mistletoe and Magic and various other
opportunities for musical offerings. They are also
learning to read via the system of music education
developed by Zoltán Kodály in Hungary
some 50 years ago.

6th Grade Choir:
The 6th grade choir is a group of 25 non-auditioned
singers. The curriculum covers vocal production for
young people and music theory as it relates to the
literature being learned. The children have learned
to polka, to "cast off" in a line dance, and to play
The Cup Game, among other folk dance experiences. |
