The middle school choir continues the musical development that began with the 6th grade choir. This group is challenged to greater participation and to amazing music making. The challenges of the changing voice are met in daily voice-developing exercises. Students are eagerly learning more about how music is written and what those little dots on the page are all about through daily theory and sight-reading lessons utilizing the Kodaly system of solfege. Choir students participate in TMEA All-Region and Solo & Ensemble competitions during the school year as well as various performances for the school and community.
