What you enjoy most about:
Teaching subject - I love to teach all young people the
joy of playing an instrument. It brings me great pleasure
to see these young musicians as they progress through the
year. It is like planting a flower and watching it grow
into a beautiful manifestation of beauty.
Goals for students:
It is my hope to challenge and inspire our young musicians
to set high goals and to make a plan in achieving those
goals. I would like to see them aspire to be the best at
what they do and if they set their mind to it, they can
accomplish anything. As the scripture says, “I can
do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians
4:13.
Outside Interest:
I enjoy being with my family and feel it is my responsibility
to take pictures and video at all of our family gatherings.
I like all kinds of music and I enjoy serving as music minister
for the sanctuary choir at First United Methodist Church
in Grand Saline. Fantasy books especially by J.R.R. Tolkien,
David Eddings, Terry Brooks, and Terry Goodkind are my favorite
reading genre. I enjoy fishing when I get the opportunity
especially at my parent’s farm in Alabama. One of
my passions is going to Japan to study their education system
and band program.
