Tuition Assistance

All Saints gave in excess of $485,000 in tuition assistance in 2007-2008.

What is tuition assistance?
Tuition assistance consists of funds given to families who demonstrate a financial need for assistance with tuition expenses at All Saints. Funds are made available to outstanding students who would otherwise be unable to afford such an opportunity. Awards are provided by All Saints. All tuition assistance documents and applications are kept strictly confidential.

How is tuition assistance determined?
To determine need, All Saints uses the services of the School and Student Service (SSS) for Financial Aid in Princeton, New Jersey. This service uses information each family provides on a Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) which asks for income, expenses, assets and liabilities. The PFS form is located online at www.nais.org/financialaid/sss. The family submits the completed online PFS form to the School and Student Service in Princeton. SSS computes this information and determines an estimated need. The Report of Financial Need is sent from Princeton to All Saints. A scholarship committee uses this estimated need as a guideline in making awards. A copy of the family's current 1040 must also be sent to All Saints before the request can be considered.

Who can apply?
Anyone in grades Primer through 12 can apply for tuition assistance, but only students who have been accepted to All Saints and demonstrate financial need, as determined by the School and Student Service, can be considered.

How much tuition assistance may I expect to receive?
Each case is considered individually. Every family should expect to contribute something toward their child's education. The total amount received will be based on demonstrated financial need, academic record, and character.

Where do I get an application for tuition assistance?
The application can be accessed online at www.nais.org/financialaid/sss. If you prefer a hard copy, please contact the Office of Admission and one will be sent to you. Please note below the amount of time the hard copy will take to process.

Is there a deadline to be considered for tuition assistance?
The priority deadline for submitting your tuition assistance request to SSS for all current and new students is April 1. Although additional applications will be accepted after this date, it is possible that funds will be exhausted. Your child's name may be placed on a waiting list should funds become available.

Is tuition assistance renewable each year?
A new application must be filed each year. Changes in your financial status may affect the size of your award.

Are there payment options?
All Saints is proud to partner with FACTS, the leading tuition payment plan provider in the industry. This is not a loan program. You have no debt, there are no interest or finance charges assessed, and there is no credit check. The cost to budget your interest-free monthly payment is a nominal, annual, nonrefundable FACTS Enrollment Fee. You can enroll in the FACTS Payment Plan online by clicking on the FACTS link.

What if there is a situation involving divorce and/or step-parents?
All Saints expects both the custodial and non-custodial parents to participate in the support of their child at All Saints. It is up to all parties involved to communicate and participate in good faith in the responsibilities. Custodial parents will be expected to submit a Parents' Financial Statement. Non-custodial parents will be expected to submit a Divorced/Separated Parents' Statement. This form will be provided by All Saints' Office of Admission.

Are there any restrictions on tuition assistance students?
Scholarship recipients are expected to maintain the highest academic standards for themselves, to conduct themselves in a responsible and honorable manner, and to play an active role in the daily life of the school community. Failure to meet these expectations will result in review of tuition assistance by the Scholarship Committee mid-year and/or at the end of the school year.

When will I be notified if I have received tuition assistance?
Tuition assistance notification will begin in early March. Grants will continue to be awarded as money remains available. Please note:

the time period between the family mailing the completed PFS form to Princeton and All Saints receiving the Report of Financial Need from SSS is approximately four (4) weeks.

the time period between the family submitting the information online and All Saints receiving the report of Financial Need from SSS is approximately two (2) weeks.
