Six All Saints' students who took the 2005 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship
Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) met the requirements to enter
the 2007 National Merit Scholarship Program. With a selection
index of 202 or above, each of these students is among the
50,000 highest-scoring participants of some 1.3 million college
bound juniors who took the PSAT in October 2004. In September
2006, of the more than 50,000 students being offered this
service, about 16,000 will be named National Merit Program
Semifinalists, representing the top scores in each state,
and approximately 34,000 other scores will be named Commended
Scholars. Finalists will be named in February 2006 and have
an opportunity to compete for 8,200 Merit Scholarships.
Congratulations to: Paul B, Claire C, Thomas C, Haren
P, Bennon P, and Neville R.
For the Graduating Classes of 2004, 2005, and 2006, 18 students
have been named Commended Scholars or better and of these
18, six have been named finalists. |
