to buy before school starts?
Please use your course
request sheet to order your books. Go to the Online
Bookstore at the ASES homepage.
Swap shop will be open
during the Information Fair from 2-4p in the Student
Center. Parker Uniforms will be on campus for ordering,
light shopping, and exchanges in the Auditorium during
the information fair.
Any backpack or book
bag is acceptable.
School Supplies have been
puchased by the school and are in your child's locker.
This will be included in your Student Fee. |

email or call the middle school office. We will do our best
to accomodate changes before the start of school. Note: if
a class is full, we will be unable to fufill your request.

Activity is a scheduled time
the Middle School has for various activities.

have a “Huddle in the Hall”, or other meeting
venue. This is a meeting in the Hall way (or sometimes
Student Center) for a brief meeting regarding the week’s
happenings, upcoming events, basic announcements from
Administration, teachers, and sponsors.
are usually spent with individual
advisory groups. Each student is assigned in a group of
8-10 fellow students, and a teacher/coach/administrator
advisor. We use this time for small group discussions
on specified topics, events, and ideas throughout the
school year. This is a bonding time, a growing forum,
and a “safe-place” for subject debate.

normally D.E.A.R. days….”Drop Everything and
Read”. On these days, students will grab a book
and spend the time reading in third period classes prior
to the beginning of class time. Monday and Wednesday schedules
are subject to change due to an occasional assembly.

attend chapel in the LS Auditorium.
we allow the kids to have a break, get a snack or drink,
and just relax….BREAK. |

is no open first period study hall; any exceptions are
special circumstances only approved by the Head of Middle
School.
• Teachers
will be available to tutor students and may require students
to attend scheduled tutorials as found necessary. Students
are encouraged to ask teachers for help.

the daily news for upcoming summer events including fundraisers
for 2007-2008 8th grade Washington DC Trip.
• Virginia Slicker will be
offering private tutoring for students. Her fees will be $40/hour
and $20/half-hour sessions. Please contact her for more information
(903) 316-5593. All English areas including reading comprehension,
writing skills, and vocabulary will be covered.
• Summer Reading information
is on the Home page to the right on the menu.

General Middle School volunteer opportunities this year, please

be looking for volunteers for This volunteer
opportunity is similar to the Lower School Door Dads, only
done in the afternoon.
